How Long Each Drop Took

Since late 2024 Mojang ships Java Edition in drops: a few smaller updates a year, each with its own theme, instead of one large update. Every drop starts with weekly snapshots, moves to pre-releases and release candidates, and then ships. This table counts what came out between one drop and the next, from 187 versions Mojang released since January 2024. Most snapshots came out on a Tuesday: 44 of 92.
