Tuesday, June 17, 2025
The Chase the Skies drop, June 17, 2025: the Happy Ghast flying mount, the Dried Ghast block, harnesses and the Locator Bar for multiplayer.
Minecraft 1.21.6 came out on June 17, 2025 as the Chase the Skies drop, the second drop of 2025 after Spring to Life in March. Its snapshots ran through April and May, starting with 25w15a.
The drop is built around the Happy Ghast, a flying mount that grows from a Dried Ghast block left in water, and the harness that lets up to four players ride it. Multiplayer got the Locator Bar, which shows where other players are.
The full list of changes is on the Minecraft 1.21.6 Chase the Skies page.
