The sixth 1.21.5 snapshot, February 13, 2025: biome-based sheep colors, camels in deserts, bundles in village chests, and new cartographer and wandering trader trades.
25w07a is the sixth 1.21.5 snapshot. It came out on Thursday, February 13, 2025, a day later than the usual Wednesday. The change most people noticed was sheep, whose wool color now depends on the biome they spawn in. Temperate biomes keep the old odds, with white as the common color. In cold biomes black sheep are common, and light gray, light blue, blue and cyan are uncommon. Warm biomes favor brown, with gray, yellow, orange and red as the uncommon colors. Pink stays rare everywhere.
Camels now spawn naturally in deserts, not only in desert villages. Bundles can be found in some village chests, and the reworked cartographer and wandering trader trades left the experimental toggle and became part of normal gameplay. Mooshrooms got a new model and textures so they match the updated cow.
Two plant changes are worth knowing. The bush only drops when broken with shears or Silk Touch, and it is replaceable, so placing a block in its space simply replaces it. Bone meal on a firefly bush now spreads it to neighboring blocks. Mojang also moved the ambient sounds of deserts, badlands and pale gardens from the Blocks volume slider to Ambient/Environment, and turned down the breaking sound shared by grass-type blocks and the sounds of leaf litter. Pack format 67, 24 bugs fixed.
